It is nearly impossible to find high quality therapeutic essential oils in a retail shop in the Maryland area. For this reason I am happy to make these wonderful essential oils available to you at The Shops at Damascus Electric.
When I first began to use essential oils I read a vast amount of conflicting information about what company to buy essential oils from. TMI - I thought my head was going to explode! With so much information and different opinions it's hard to make a decision.
Finding the right essential oils can be a very personal thing. Each individuals chemistry is different and reacts to oils in a very unique way. For example, western medicine for pain relief - you may prefer Advil, Motrin, or Tylenol. You buy what works for you - right? It's the same with essential oils. The chemical composition of each oil is different - some may work for you and some may not.
I personally opted to try many different brands ranging from budget friendly to over the top, break my piggy bank oils that I'm afraid to use because they are so damn expensive.
On my journey to finding MY perfect oils I had a few requirements that helped me to select which brands to try.
My requirements
That the oils are tested for therapeutic properties and can provide a certificate of analysis.
The company has direct relationships with their growers and distillers.
Does not recommend internal use of essential oils unless working with a qualified aromatherapist or healthcare practitioner.
Educates its consumers properly on essential oil use and safety.
With all of this said, if it wasn't for the overwhelming about of information about essential oils, I may not have taken the journey to find the right oils for me. Over the years I've found several brands that I love and work for me. But, I do have my favorites ~ one of them being Floracopeia!
